Biofeel : Life as we know it

Hi all,

I am looking to add a conservatory to my house and had a few salesmen around trying to push their products on me (as they do).

He asked what I did and I told him I am heavily interested in the environment and of course, the next thing he said was “Our conservatories are environmentally friendly”. I can usually control myself but I chuckled and asked “how so?”.

He started telling me some crap about renewable sources and I had to stop him right there. I said “indiscriminate logging for products like hardwood conservatories is what caused this problem in the first place, and all the other processes involved in making the glass etc has a big impact on the environment as does anything made from upvc”

Of course he had an answer for everything, that’s a salesman for you but I could tell in his eyes, he hated me from then on hehe.

Any way, I decided against it (practice what you preach and all that).
